Valdec.exe ( Ac3Filter Tools) -> (DTS-to-WAV) (SoXcutterFE) Spdifer.exe ( Ac3Filter Tools) -> (DTS-to-WAV) Gain.exe ( Ac3Filter Tools) -> (SoXcutterFE) It also has a simulated multichannel plugin for headphones.įor checking M2V files and finished DVD etc, I use Media Player Classic and if necessary VLC Media Player (and others).ĪrcSoft DTS Decoder (DLL's) ( ArcSoft TotalMedia Theatre ) (eac3to use) ( mentioned here) -> (DTS-to-WAV)įlac.exe ( FLAC) -> (SoXcutterFE) (DTS-to-WAV v2.3) I use foobar2000 (with DTS Decoder plugin) to play DTS WAV files and DTS-CD. Some have been mentioned in that Chat topic. So because of that, I thought I would share them here.
I still use and update some of them, as many are very useful in their own right, and allow me to do a number of things in stages, in a much more controlled manner compared to my larger project. While doing testing of course, I tried a lot of programs, and some I even made tools of via my own Frontends. Some of you may have read my posts (kind of blog) in Chat about my large project, Audio DVD Producer, and thus seen the many screenshots and know somewhat of my trials and tribulations. I talk a little about LOSSY and LOSSLESS files in Post #3. It also includes video from JPG, BMP, PNG etc sources. That includes WAV, AC3, DTS, FLAC, APE etc Stereo and Surround Sound files. Is he TMT 5 a HD Audio decoder? IF not that is proally why you have no sound.Over the last few years I have been doing a lot of Audio (CD & DVD) research, trying many open source and freeware programs. but some Blu ray players also can decode the new HD Formats.but since you are using your PC I would doubt these formats will play and most times you need to go into the Movies menu and select the lossy formats like DTS or Dolby Digital. Most time if using a REciever the Reciever would decode it. These new formats are NOT Playable on all devices.
sort of comparing a 480 Low Def Video signal to a 1080P Hi Def one. it is like the High Definition for Audio. I am talking about the DTS HD Format which is Lossless. Hi, Yes it can Play DTS Probaly just fine that is a LOSSY Format. WEll it did state it was for TMT Perhaps and older version of TMT had that setting? I am using an optical SPDIF cable, and am able to hear audio fine when I play the DTS audio version of a BluRay when using PowerDVD.Ĭan you explain why an optical SPDIF cable cannot play DTS, if I understand you correctly? Yes, my system's Realtek is capable of playing DTS audio format. Yeah, those instructions don't apply to TMT5.I don't see Enable Sound Mixer option anywhere in settings. if the sound quality is fine the way it is no need to worry. Now it will probally not be playing the lossless codecs but the lossy ones. Go to Setup>Settings>Sound tab and make sure that ‘Enable Sound Mixer’is checked. No sound when playing BD using SPDIF with Total Media Theater? I will look at the TMS5 and see if it has HD Audio passthrough but probally not through and Definetely through an Optical cable.
hen you start up the movie goto the options menu and choose a non lossless format see if it plays audio then? If so is your Sound card capable of passing those codecs? If you are passing through your optical cable these formats will NOT work. Hi, if you are using Blu ray are you trying to use the new lossless formats? DTS HD, Dolby HD?
